History

John Baptist de La Salle was led to found a community of men who, enlightened by God and in communion with his salvific plan, joined together in order to respond to the needs of poor young people far from salvation.

Even today, any community of Brothers draws its fundamental motivations from this event.

The Brothers are inspired by the prayer of Jesus Christ: “Father, let them be one as you and I are one, that the world may believe that you sent me.” The community is a mediation of the consecration of the Brothers to God.

It is a community of faith where the Brothers share their experience of God, lived in daily commitments and listening to the Word of God, in personal and community prayer, in reading the signs of the times and discerning the God's will.

Food & beverage

You can choose to have the meals prepared by the cook or to use the kitchen with free access, which is available to you in the cottage on the way to Compostela.

Catering is generally always provided from April to September.

At the beginning and end of the season, if the number of reservations is insufficient, they cannot offer meals. (Restaurants exist in the village).

The cook prepares a menu suitable for hikers: starter, meat, vegetables, cheese, dessert, wine

They can offer you a packed lunch for the next day when you leave the gite for Santiago de Compostela.

Dinner is served at 7 p.m. and breakfast between 7:15 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. self-catering.

• Large capacity: 31 beds spread over 15 independent rooms.
• Ground floor (street side): reception-secretary of the La Margeride accommodation and activity center, laundry room: sink, washing machine and dryer (paying service), drying racks, ... 2 WCs with washing machine -hands accessible to persons with reduced mobility.
• Meeting room with tables, chairs, flat screen TV, PC available, reading area, ...
• WIFI in common areas (free and secure connection).
• Living room with armchairs, coffee tables, large format flat screen TV, bar area with sink, large refrigerator, ...
• The kitchen has direct access to a large raised and secure terrace (garden furniture) and also provides access to a large private garden.
• Equipped kitchen: sink, electric stove, microwave oven, extractor hood, table-top refrigerator, coffee maker, kettle, crockery, utensils and cookware, ...
• Garden, with washing line, terrace.
• Chapel (oratory) available to guests.
