The monastery is mainly a spiritual centre. Nevertheless, the nuns host men and women coming for a pilgrimage, a period of study or to meditate. There are 9 rooms, 7 of which are doubles. All baths are shared.
It was founded in 1954 by two Catalan Benedictine communities who were forced to abandon their monasteries during the Spanish Civil War. Designed by Jordi Bonet, the church is considered a monument of modern architecture. Composed of wood and stone, it is completely integrated into the natural elements and is offset by a large glass window with views of Montserrat.
