Overview

Who is Thomas Troward?

Thomas Troward, a 19th century author and speaker of scientific meditation (Thought) was the forerunner of the early 20th Century writers on meditation, spirituality practices and mindfulness. As a retired Judge, accustomed to determining Natural Law, he devoted the rest of his life to conceptualising the science of man's mental development based on his observed metaphysical operations of the Universe, in like manner.

Many of the early 20th Century spiritual writers, Joel Goldsmith, Joseph Murphy, Neville Goddard, Ernest Holmes, his disciple, Louise Hay, Bob Proctor and Wayne Dyer have attributed the concepts of their teaching to Thomas Troward. These include Science of Mind, Law of Attraction, The Secret, Mindfulness, The Vortex, and many other ways of experiencing well-being. Having studied the Science of Mind and Mindfulness meditation, I notice that many are curious about who or what is the authority for this metaphysical science.

AWAKEN TO THE BENEFITS OF MINDFULNESS AND PRESENCE.

This weekend is about YOU. To help you uncover where you are right now and how learning the art of mindfulness will improve your quality of life. No gimmicks - Purely learning and understanding this way of life.

Beyond the weekend you will be equipped to apply  these mindfulness skills to each part of your daily lives.

Perhaps you have heard about mindfulness and are curious?

Mindfulness or, Present-Moment Lifestyle, is the best natural way to live a happy, fruitful life. Stress, depression and anxiety can be avoided by this method.

I will share the secret to achieve this:

It is constant practice, formally or informally: you can either make time intentionally to do the meditation practice; or, simply direct your attention to what is happening in any given moment. For example, as you are brushing your teeth; making a cup of tea, or eating - whatever you are doing.

Do you find your mind wanders? Do you find it hard to stay focused on the task you are doing maybe at work? Do you feel its difficult to enjoy the moment, for example because you are worrying about other things in your life that have happened, are happening or could happen?

If you consciously keep your attention focused on the activity that you are doing, this present moment lifestyle becomes natural sooner than you think. There, you find Presence and it's pure Bliss!

What should I bring?

There are certain qualities which you must bring to the process; and, these very qualities will generate in your psyche, more of the same. These qualities are Non-judgment, Patience, Beginner's mind, Trust, Acceptance, Non-striving and Letting go.

Beware! Mindfulness changes lives...for the better! Students have had amazing positive life changes since undertaking the course and continuing the method after the weekend.

To really benefit from this course its important to take some time out to reflect on your  own personal situation. How are you feeling? What challenges are you facing?

To learn the skills of “Mindfulness”, i.e. awareness, consciousness, alertness, you have to be prepared to learn the process. This means coming to the coaching weekend with an open mind. Forget what you may have heard, or read, or images of people sitting cross legged on the floor. You will slowly work to learn the pure essence of mindfulness and you will benefit from the moment the session begins.

Anna challenges you to look at WHO you really are, and provides you with the insight to do so.

Although this is a Christian-based retreat, it is open to all.

You can pay a visit to Poole Quay with its many fine restaurants, marina and under cover shopping centre where you will enjoy a very pleasant day out.

Group or Single Bookings are available; you only need to ask. Individual consultations by appointment.

This 3-day retreat was all I could have hoped for: Anna is a wise, compassionate and challenging companion on the path of spiritual exploration as much as a teacher. Her insight and her depth of experience are irreplaceable. Rosamund House itself is a peaceful oasis in a quiet part of Parkstone; my room was comfortable and beautifully decorated, and the main areas of the house are spacious, and provide an ideal setting for the retreat.

If you’re looking for a relaxing meditation session and a room with a home feel look no further. You get way more for your money with a room, a session of mindfulness meditation and some amazing hosting to go with it! Will definitely go back and would highly recommend to anyone even if you haven’t ever done meditation then the lovely Anna will give you a introduction to it.

Anna was lovely and caring. However, unfortunately the course did not fulfil what we were looking for. The course is best for those who have basic knowledge of mindfulness, learning from scratch and want to understand through hearing about different scenario examples. The course is run 0900-1300 on three mornings so plenty of time for reflection
