The monastery's accommodation on offer is 15 singles, each with a private bath. Only women are allowed.
The original name of the monastery was Santa María de la Horta. In the 17th century, the monastery underwent a total restoration and its name was changed to Monasterio de San Benito. Whatever works of art that existed at that time did not survive the renovation. However, as the nuns are quick to point out, what the monastery lacks in artwork is made up for by its generous hospitality.
