The Cartières Association, located in Chaponost near Lyon, was created in 1994 by the Society of African Missions and the Lay Missionary Fraternity.
It is led by a volunteer team made up of priests, Sisters Missionary Catechists of the Sacred Heart and volunteers. The reception house is dedicated to welcoming groups and associations that share the values of openness to others, especially to the African world, to interculturality, and also to solidarity.
