The monastery has 12 beds in single and double rooms, each with private bath (two of the rooms have a private bath located outside the room). Both men and women are welcome.
The community inhabiting the monastery was founded in the 15th century and until thirty years ago occupied another residence in the heart of Ávila. The order moved because the maintenance of the old building had become too costly. ”It was so costly that it was less expensive to build a new one,” said the Mother Superior. "Fortunately the new home is on a hill where there are beautiful views of the countryside and the Sierra,” she continued. The nuns live in seclusion; their main activity is making and selling homemade pastries typical of the area.
Meals can be prepared on request, however, they are not served by the nuns who live in seclusion. Guests can be provided with pre-cooked meals which they can heat in the microwave.
Towels and linens are supplied. The facility includes a chapel, garden, meeting room, TV/reading room and a dining room with a microwave oven and refrigerator.
