In order to make reparation for the many abbeys and monasteries suppressed during the Reformation, Lady Herries invited the nuns of the French Benedictine Monastery of Arras to introduce the Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. In 1988 the Monastery moved to the present location in Largs, adopting a former hotel to its needs.
Lunch and dinner are supplied with the lodging. Guests may prepare and take their breakfast in the kitchen at their disposal.
