The nuns purchased an ancient castle and farm nestled among the rolling hills of rural Charente. Taking up residence in the castle, the nuns converted the farm’s large hayloft into a church. “The church is something unusual, something special,” said sister Blandine. “The castle and the church do not contain any artwork but the beauty and peacefulness of the hilly, wooded site allow guests to enjoy quiet, restorative walks in nature,” the sister concluded.
All meals can be provided with the lodging.
