The monastery has a beautiful view of the sea and the snow-laced Alps. It houses an important library of rare editions and antique parchments. The neo-Gothic church contains a mausoleum of the abate’s remains. The monastery is located along the Aurelia, an ancient Roman road, so named because it was constructed under the aegis of Emperor Marc Aurelio.
1) There are eight double rooms with private bath in a recently renovated-
ed section. One room is accessible to the disabled. This section is open year-round.
2) Three single, nine double and one triple room with a shared bath are in another section which is only open from May through September.
Linen is supplied, towels are not.
Guests must return to the monastery by 11:00 pm.
