Very few sites in France can boast a heritage as grand as Conques, a place that seems to have travelled through time unchanged. A stop on one of the four routes to Santiago de Compostela, the allure of the village lies in its Romanesque-style abbey church encompassed by slate-roofed, half-timbered houses. The church is celebrated for its tympanum depicting the Last Judgement.
There are 90 beds in 28 rooms (1-4 beds) some with private bath. In July and August the house hosts individuals, families and groups but only for a minimum one-week stay. The remainder of the year it hosts only groups of 20 or more for stays of any length.
