I love this place, stayed in it many times. The en suite rooms are clean, compact and comfortable. The buffet breakfast is very good with a great selection. The grounds of the villa are stunning. The views over Florence are spectacular! The staff are friendly and very helpful. Fiesole is just a short bus ride (No.7 bus) from outside the hotel gates. Fiesole has a beautiful town square with plenty of eateries and bars, and even an Irish pub, and some artisnal stores!! A short walk from the square are the Etruscan stone walls and a Roman amphitheater. On the hilltop is where Leonardo da Vinci first experimented with the idea of flight!!! The Convent of San Domenico is at the mouth of Fiesole. Here you can behold the sublime Altarpiece painted by Fra Angelico, a 14th century Dominican Frier and Renaissance artist. Completely in the opposite direction on the No.7 bus is the magnificent city of Florence, approximately 30 minutes from Villa la Stella. Source - Google

Moved to this hotel after a different one was not up to standard. And I was extremely happy. This place was a great combination of peace, tranquility, great city view from hilltop, proximity to downtown, Florence, hospitality, and an Olive Garden to walk. Loved it here. Would highly, highly recommend it. It was four of us and a family vacation. Source - Google

Service is top notch, and so is the breakfast compared to three star hotels. A bit far, but the views are incomparable. Rooms are basic but better than most that I have seen here in Florence Source - Google
