The monastery is quartered within the ochre-hued walls of San Gimignano, a model Tuscan town and was partially destroyed during the Napoleonic suppression of the early 19th-century. In 1866, the nuns were forced to leave when the second suppression began. Returning in 1900, the order has inhabited the monastery since that time.

32 beds in rooms with 2 and 4 beds, each with a private bath. Both men and women are welcome. Towels and linens are supplied.
