Casa Valdese, Rio Marina

Storia

The edifice was built in the mid-nineteenth century and until 1931 was an elementary school, to be transformed in the fifties of the last century into a marine colony for children housed in the Gould Institute and Ferretti Institute of Florence.

The House offers the possibility to stay overnight either in apartments or in rooms with bathroom. The apartments have cooking-facilities while rooms have access to a common kitchen for preparing breakfast and cold dishes or for reheating take-away dishes.

The large garden is perfect for enjoying carefree moments, relaxing on the deck chairs in the sun or under the trees, while reading a good book or listening to music. In the shadow of the pergola, furnished with tables and chairs, you can have meals you prepare or purchase from nearby restaurants or shops.
